A Legacy of Innovation and Trust
Hot Rocks traces its roots back to the 1990s, when Gilles and Guy, sons of Picard Ovens founder Lauréat Picard returned from a trip to Germany with a bold idea: to build a pizza oven with a stone conveyor that could deliver both the authentic taste of stone baking and the efficiency of a conveyor system. Their vision became reality with the LP-200, the first stone conveyor pizza oven built in North America, quickly adopted by pizzerias who valued its artisanal results and reliable performance.
In 2015, Dave and Vincent joined the company to carry this innovation even further. Bringing expertise in engineering, design, and manufacturing, they completely reimagined the LP-200 enhancing its technology, improving its cooking performance, and giving it a modern, refined look. This evolution marked the beginning of the Hot Rocks brand as it is known today.
